Every year, the Eden Prairie Cross Country team has participated in the Nike Cross Heartland Regional event in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This event is held after the conclusion of the high school season (generally the 2nd weekend in November). The Nike Regional includes several races:

Rising Stars Race - 9th & 10th Graders

Open Race - Any high school athlete can compete

Championship Race - Qualifier for Nike Cross Nationals held in Portland, Oregon later in the year.

The Nike Regional is an optional event. Participation in this event is not sponsored by Eden Prairie High School or the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). Logistics, travel, accommodations, registration, and coaching are organized directly by the participating athletes, parents, and parent coordinator.
